With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Occletta L. Norwood of Gulfport, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 1, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom White and Lucille Walker Evans; her brother Edmond Leon White; and her children, Allen Bruce White, Robert Lee O'Neal and Bonita Australia O'Neal.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Earl Norwood of Gulfport, MS; her children, James O'Neal (Sarah) of Hattiesburg, MS., Ronnie Norwood (Kimberly) of Gulfport, MS., Tony Norwood (Lori) of Gulfport, MS., Ossie Michelle Norwood of Gulfport, MS., Rhonda Smith (Michael) of Gulfport, MS. and Tiffany Carter Chamber of Brandon, MS.; and her niece Catherine Benson (Robert) of North Carolina. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and Sixteen great-grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews.
