It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Owens of Hamilton, Mississippi, born in Aberdeen, Mississippi, who passed away on April 28, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Green and Erbie Mae Irvin Owens; his siblings, Martha Evelyn Owens Booth, Jimmie Mae Owens Brown and Walton Green "Buddy" Owens, Jr.; and his niece Glenda Owens.

He is survived by : his wife Jane Owens; his children, Meg Burns (Kevin) of Hernando, MS and Lann Owens (Jillian) of Long Beach, MS; his grandchildren, Olivia Owens and William Owens; his nephew George Booth; and his nieces, Mae Booth Forbes, Katharine Brown, Denise Owens Wheeler and Melanie Owens Milner.

Donations may be given to First United Methodist Church, Aberdeen or to a charity of choice.
