We bid farewell to Jorita Reed Malone of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 10, 2025 at the age of 76. Jorita Reed touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ambers Shorty Reed, Sr. and Susan Lemender Graham Reed; her husband Horace James "Jim" Malone; and her siblings, Haskell Harmon Reed, Ambers Reed, Jr., Curtis Lavon Reed and Mattie Lou Weatherford.
She is survived by: her son Thomas Michael Reed (Heather); her granddaughters, Cecilia Grace Reed, Sophia Marie Reed and Isabelle Louise Reed; and her sisters, Mildred Pauline Harms and Gladys Faye Dent.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Service - Hattiesburg (805 Hardy St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at the Highland Cemetery (3401 W 7th St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401).
