It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Lynn Barber Hoelzel in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, born in Poplarville, Mississippi, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her grandparents, J. C., Audie Barber, Walton and Murel Wheat; and her brother James Barber.

She is survived by : her husband Rev. Christopher Hoelzel (Kirk); her children, Brennan Kirk Hoelzel (Jessica Hoelzel) and Breanna Hoelzel Johnson (Kade Johnson); her granddaughter Lillian Khaleesi Hoelzel; her parents, Dossie Barber and Linda Barber; and her siblings, Glenn, Angie Barber, Darwyn, Kerry Jarrell, Jason Barber and Crystal (Adam Salas). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Crossroads United Pentecostal Church.
