She was predeceased by : her parents, Katheryn Elizabeth Carter and J. P. Carter; her husband Charles Bufkin McSwain; and her daughter Charlene McSwain. She is survived by : her daughters, Kathy Polk and Betsy Hughes (Rob); her grandchildren, Kate Reese (Andy), Amy Hughes and Carter Hughes; and her great grandchildren, Charlie, Anna Katherine Morse, Marion, David Reese, Camille and Jack Dulaney.
