He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kilgore and Mable Berry Kirk; his stepfather John; and his sister Classie. He is survived by: his significant other Marvia; his children, Sylvester, Jr. (Shonta) of Victoria, MS, Marvis Kilgore, Julia Jackson of Holly Springs and Kristel Smith of Marietta, GA; his grandchildren, Jalen, Jada, Jordon, Shakayla and Kourtney; his great grandchildren, Josiah and Makenzie; his sibling's children, Ethel and C. K.; and his close friend Ella Kimmons.
