She was predeceased by : her husband Thomas Milton Rush; her parents, Evans Atkinson and Woodie Mae Atkinson; her daughter Shirley Jean Gautier; her son-in-law Travis Drury; her grandsons, Matthew Jenkins and Derek Jenkins; and her siblings, Ermin James Atkinson, Leverne Carpenter and Vera Tillman.

She is survived by : her children, Sandra Drury, Karen Jenkins (Mikell) and Terrell Rush (Carol); her son-in-law James Gautier; and her grandchildren, Renee Riley (Keith), Russell Drury (Tonia), Lynn Drury, Shane Drury, Laura Lee (Chad), Brian Gautier (Lani), Allison Gautier, Meagan Young (Phillip) and Thomas Rush. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
