He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Haney and Willie Sappington; and his siblings, Scottie Sappington, Cleta Ann Yarber and Billie Louise Woodruff.
He is survived by: his children, Jenny Schneider (Matthew) of Walls, Roger Sappington (Susan) of Saltillo, Belinda Hein of Byers, CO and Pam Belk (John) of Houston; his sisters, Freda Sims (Larry) of Booneville and Charlotte Hutchison of Tishomingo; and his former wife Linda Sappington of Corinth. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
