He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Rodney Doss, Sr. and Mattie Griffin Doss; and his sisters, Ann Lou Doss Beasley, Elizabeth Doss, Virginia Doss and Lorena Griffin.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Latimer Doss; his sons, Joseph Robert Doss (Nan) of Hattiesburg and William Rodney Doss (Nancy) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Doss, Angela Doss, Lindsey Doss Chenhall (Brent) and Matthew Doss (Sara); and his sister Mary Ruth Bagley of Houston, MS. He is also survived by three great grandsons and one great step-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church Joy Makers or your favorite charity.
