She was predeceased by: her husband Wentworth T. "Billy" Gates; her daughter Beverly Garner; and her father Alvin. She is survived by: her children, Toni Bell and W. T. "Tommy" Gates (Rita); and her grandchildren, David Garner (Wendy), Tim Bell (Donna), Brian Gates (Ammi), Jason Garner (Leah), Todd Garner (Rebecca) and Ti Garner (Misti). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
