She was predeceased by: her husband James Millard Parish; her daughter Doris Jean Parish; her granddaughter Ginger Thrasher; her parents, Walter Lee and Hettie Mills Brown; and her siblings, Archie Crum (Hazel), Herbert Brown (Mary), Epsie Brown Davis (Luther), Gladys Smith (Earnest) and Helen Dodson (Ben).

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Scott Thrasher (Sonya Robbins Thrasher) and Lee James Parish; her great grandchild Jayce Kate Thrasher; and her niece Sheila Glidewell.
