She was predeceased by : her parents, James Hardin "Jim" and Beatrice Hall Reid; her husband Jewel Dean Dunaway; her sons, Jewel Ray Dunaway and Daryel Dunaway; and her brothers, Lester, Ray, Dennis and J. D. Reid.

She is survived by : her children, Syble Lee Dunaway Davis, James Denver Dunaway, Lola Faye Dunaway and Nola Mae Hutson. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
