He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Marcia Thompson McElroy; his children, Robin Harrison, Betty McElroy, Robby McElroy (Angie) and Shawn Hannington (Liza); and his siblings, Ann Johnson (John), Betty Hopper, Nancy Haskins, Jeanne Bruce, Linda Thompson (Jimmy) and Ben Thompson. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
