He is survived by: his daughter Sheila McNeil; his grandson Dylan McNeil; his great grandchildren, D. J. McNeil and Dalton McNeil; his granddaughter Shelly Shannon Gipson; his great grandchildren, Shiloh Finley-Gray Gipson and Knox Noah-Drew Gipson; and his brother Billy Glenn Hastings. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
