He was predeceased by: his wife Georgie Nell Walters; his parents, Crosby Walters and Evelyn Holifield Walters; his siblings, Rubye Oliver, Belva Walters Farthing, Bobbie Nell Rogers, Curtis Walters, Hilmer Walters and Thurman Ray Walters; and his siblings' children, Ronnie "Happy" Farthing and Cindy Hustead.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Walters (Rita), Carolyn Ingram (Rudy) of North Dakota and Rachel Starcher (John) of Alabama; his nieces, Anna Nora Manning of Waynesboro and Treva Ann Myrick (Ronald) of Alabama; and his grandchildren, Ray Welborn, Dana Ingram, Jessica Walters, Kody Walters, Haley Walters, Laykin Register and Kayla Register. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
