He was predeceased by: his parents, W. L. Breland and Dorothy Eubanks Breland; his son Jason L. Breland; and his brothers, Farrell Breland and Dewayne "Pete" Breland.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Breland of Laurel; his daughters, Amanda Mitchell (Ronnie) of Myrick, Stephanie Rose (Calvin) and Erica Blackledge (Brian); his grandchildren, Caytee Johnston, Ethan Walters, Ada Grace Blackledge, Ella Blackledge and Carter Rose; and his siblings, J. L. Breland of Texas, Donna Breland of Tupelo and Belinda Smith of Laurel.
