Newsome; her children, George Martinez, Jr., Cindy Martinez Rayner (Jerry), Belinda Martinez Dearmon (Richard), Teresa Martinez Stockman, Pam Martinez McPhail (James), Pedro Martinez (Carol), Scott Martinez, Amie Newsome Oliver (Chris), Deloris Newsome Butler (Jerry), Linda Sue Newsome Morrison and Danny Newsome (Susan); her brother Gerald "Duke" Carney; and her nieces, Paula Carney Matthews and Emily Matthews Barker. She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.
