He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Byrum Smith and Mary Elinor Myrick Smith; his brother Byrum Smith; his wife Judy Smith of Laurel; his children, Clint Smith of Shubuta and Tanya Nichols (Jody) of Laurel; his grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Josh Nichols and Landon Nichols; and his brother Gerald Smith of Laurel.
