He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Shane Young of Moss Point, MS and Jerry Jr.; and his siblings, Josephine, Beverly (Katrena), Racheal, Loretta (William) and Joseph (Shirley) of Grand Bay. He was also cherished by one grandchild, eight nephews, nine nieces, and a host of cousins, and friends.
