He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Byrd and Clara Byrd; his sisters, Vallie Ree Varner, Johnnie Lee Brownlee and Bonnie Sue Byrd; and his granddaughter Jane Allison Byrd.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Byrd; his sons, Alvin Byrd (Alethea) and Scott Byrd (Leigh); his brother Tommy Byrd (Jane); his grandchildren, Blake, Kaleigh, Cole, Dalton Byrd, Peyton Hill (Kole) and Hayden Powell (Caleb); and his great grandchild Tatum Leigh Hill. He is also survived by two sons and multiple grandchildren.
