She is survived by: her spouse Dodd Sykes; her children, Susan Merritt (Buddy), John Sykes (Mary), Bill Sykes (Rita), Mitch Sykes, Charlotte Ellzey and Sandra Berlin; her grandchildren, Eric Berlin (Leann), Michael Brewer, Roddy Merritt, Rick Merritt (Laken), Billy Sykes, Gwynne Hicks (Brian), Becky Wilson (Fabian), Dwan Thompson (Jeremiah), Brandon Bowman (Crystal), Austin Sykes, Matt Sykes, Haley Sykes and Maggie Sykes; and her siblings, Mary Lee Dupree, Henry Thompson, John Ray Thompson, Odis Thompson and Freddie Thompson. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
