It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Cade Phillips of Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on June 27, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Larry Wayne Phillips; and her grandson Tyler Austin Phillips. She is survived by: her children, Gary Lane Phillips (Tammy) of Mt. Olive, David Alan Phillips of Indian Trail, NC and Sandra Phillips Purvis of Laurel; her grandchildren, Stephine Phillips Bailey, Heather Phillips Johnson, Jessa Phillips Thornton, Joseph Wayne Purvis, Andrea Purvis Gray, Chris Phillips, Noel Phillips and Audie Murphy Phillips; and her niece Karen Somers of Florida. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
