She was predeceased by: her parents, R. C. Buckalew and Nancy Elizabeth Holliman; her husband Choice L. Hoover, Jr.; her stepdaughter Marsha Nores; and her siblings, Bethel Gainey (Bill), Nellene Gainey (Jimmy), Louise Waltman (Howard), Ann Hamilton (Fred), Nancy Blue (Kenneth), Ralph Buckalew (Willie), Jessie "Shot" Buckalew (Kathleen), Tillis Buckalew and Russell Buckalew.
She is survived by: her daughter Connie Hoover.
