He is survived by: his children, Douglas Thornton (Cindy), Mark Thornton, Paul Thornton (Christa) and Jane Thornton; his stepson James Williams Jr. (Sharon); his great grandchild Jessica Rowland; his children, Nataleigh, Tanner, Daniel Thornton (Lana), Madison, Millie, Garrett Thornton, Bailey Thornton, Reagan Thornton, Chance Clark, Morgan Clark, Lani Bell, Eric Williams (Lisa), Abby, Emma and Aimee Hill (Brant); and his brothers, Byron C. "Butch" Thornton (Selma) and Chester Thornton (Patsy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
