He was predeceased by: his wife Pansy Bankston; his parents, John Martin Bankston and Daryl Boutwell Bankston; and his siblings, James R. "Pete", Jack Bankston and Myrtle Rose.
He is survived by: his son Tom Bankston (Rebecca) of Laurel; and his siblings, Frank "Shorty" Bankston (Ottie) of Laurel and Voncile Cheek (Sonny) of Laurel.
Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Life Baptist Church.
