She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Alvin Darnell Jr.; her parents, Ed James and MayLoney Tanner Johnson; her siblings, Howard James, Ray James, Nelson James, Willie Mae Johnson and Vernell Carter; and her niece Gail Daniel.
She is survived by: her children, Missy Bounds (John), Annette Darnell and Shaun Darnell (Christie); her siblings-in-law, Virgil Darnell (Sandra), Wayne Darnell (Cathy) and Sharon Hale; her grandchildren, Austin Bounds (Brittney), Dax, Knox Darnell and Katie Oster (Patrick); and her great grandchildren, JT Bounds, Riley, Leala, Lydia Kitchens, Aubrey Sherman and Stetson Oster.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memory Chapel Funeral Home (3100 Audubon Dr, Laurel, MS 39440). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
