He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Kitchens Tidwell; and his daughter Donna Cagle. He is survived by: his son Greg Tidwell of Pearl; his brother Howard "Tommy" Michael Tidwell of Laurel; and his grandchildren, Jacob Ezra and Jenna Lee. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
