He is survived by: his wife Juanita Sumrall; his daughter Tammy Byrd; his grandchildren, Chelsea Hilburn, Nicole Steel and Shonda Landry; his siblings, Marlene Clark, Lucy Beck and Buford Sumrall; and his siblings-in-law, George Walters and Carolyn Walters. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
