He was predeceased by: his wife Tina Thidodeaux; his parents, Pozzie Harvey Cowart and Marie Evelyn Pierce; and his siblings, Randy Eugine Rester, James Avery Cowart, Jean Cowart, Clarence Cowart and Kay Averea.
He is survived by: his children, Melinda Dickerson, Pozzie Cowart Jr., Marie Collum, Marina Whisenhunt, Michael Corley (Sabrina) and Avery Cowart; his grandchildren, Lacey Carter (Brandon), Angel Lindsey, Taylar Holland (Corey Autrey), Dalton Cowart (Megan Tanner), Crystal Wilson, Penny Wilson, Cody Wilson, Dusty Corley, Micheala Corley, Haley Whisenhunt and Harley Whisenhunt; his great grandchildren, Braden Carter, Ryder Carter, Jansyn Bradley, Amberlyn Bradley, Cole Autrey, Jonathan Cowart, Raleighan Cowart, Reagan Cowart, Chandler Tanner, Savannah Tanner and Makayla Tanner; and his sister Mary. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
