She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Wesley Vernon; her parents, Alonzo Myers and Ollie Mae Hall; her daughter Lyndal Gail Vernon Betterton; and her siblings, Chester Myers, Myrtle McCool, Beulah Boyd and Bertie Mae Boyd.
She is survived by: her sister Wilma West of Newton, MS; her grandchildren, Sarah Betterton of Chicago, IL and Chris Betterton of Bourbonnais, IL; and her great grandchildren, Abigail and Alexander Betterton.
