He was predeceased by: his brother Charles Sykes. He is survived by: his wife Lura Sykes of Fulton; his daughters, Susanne Digby (Jason) of Fulton and Stephanie Howell (Louis) of Monroe, LA; his grandson Connor Howell; his stepgrandchildren, Greg Howell (Amanda) of Nashville, TN, Matt Howell (Kristl) of West Monroe, LA and Alicyn Franks (David) of West Monroe, LA; and his siblings, Virginia Melton of Hattisburg and Lamar Sykes of Pickens, MS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
