He is survived by: his wife Hazel Maxine Beesley Maher; his children, Tony Maher (Charlotte), Jeff Maher (Rene), Rebekah "Becky" Maher Johnson (James) and Dana Maher Fleming (Henry); his sisters, Louise Southerland Steen and Nell Ashley; and his grandchildren, Sarah Creadeur, Emily Magee, Benji Maher, Chris Fleming, Phillip Maher, Paige Bromen, Tiffany Maher and Chelsea Maher.
