It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald K. Shumaker (Louisville, Mississippi), who passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Addie Inez Burchfield Shumaker and Grover Houston Shumaker; and his siblings, Jaunice Watson, Juanita Jennings, Prentiss Shumaker, Douglas Shumaker and Dwight Shumaker.
He is survived by: his wife Dale C. Shumaker; his children, Timothy Shumaker, MD (Grace) of Flowood, MS and Kimberly Lott (Toby) of Columbus, MS.; his grandchildren, Garret Shumaker (Kristen) of Madison, MS, Carrie Wynn (Chase) of Jackson, MS, Keith Shumaker (Lauren) of Northport, AL, Morgan Moultrie (Garrick) of Birmingham, AL and Cade Lott (Rachel) of Olive Branch, MS.; and his caregivers, Joyce and Willie.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Porter Funeral Home (302 W Park St, Louisville, MS 39339).
