He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Thomas McKinley and Billy Joe McKinley; his grandchildren, Brandon Thomas McKinley and Whit Logan McKinley; and his brother Timothy McKinley.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Rogers McKinley of Louisville; his children, Maria Thompson (Jason) of Louisville and William McKinley (Natalie) of French Camp; and his grandchildren, Mac Thompson, Will Thompson and Lili Grace McKinley.
