He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Lee Allgood and Clara Sue Mangrum Allgood; his sons, Charles Allgood and David Quitman Allgood, Jr. (Alisha); and his brothers-in-law, Richard Elms and Pat Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Allgood (Debra), Melton Lee Allgood (Destinee) and Sarah Lee Martinez; his grandchildren, Dusty Allgood (Carmen), Dillon Allgood, Hannah Allgood, Julianne Allgood, Jaydyn Allgood, John Allgood, Preston Allgood and Jasmine Allgood; his great grandchild Ryder Allgood; his siblings, Louise Tillman (Richard), Lois Elms, Sonny Allgood (Lillie), Patsy Davis, Jack Allgood (Norma), Charles Allgood (Jane) and Jimmy Allgood (Madonna); and his girlfriend Teresa Pitts. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
