He is survived by: his children, Kayla Rankin Levins (Jason) and David Rankin, Jr. (Katie Boggs); his grandchildren, Blakelee Fryfogle, Bentley Levins and Blakeli Levins; his mother Jean Underwood; his sisters, Myra Ivy and Becky Thompson; his child Tereasa Merritt; and his nieces and nephews, Celeste May, Cole Thompson, Amanda Oglesby and Adam Oglesby. He is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
