She was predeceased by: her parents, William Simmons and Isabelle Simmons; and her siblings, Ethel Powell, Sylvester Simmons, Henry Simmons, Edward Simmons and Joseph Simmons.

She is survived by: her nephew Henry Simmons (Marsha) of Madison. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to South Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, 165 East Dinkins St. Canton, MS 39046.
