He was predeceased by: his parents, James Virgil Hopkins and Minnie May Glisson; and his siblings, Mack Hopkins, Junior Hopkins, Louise McCraw and Chesley Tuggle.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Hopkins; his children, Jack David Hopkins, Jr (Lenice), Glenn Thomas Hopkins (Regina) and Patricia Ann Hopkins Harvey (Randy); and his stepsons, Ricky Hylender (Betty), Timmy Hylender (Dianne), Craig Hylender, Barry Hylender and David Hylender. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 41 great- grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; A host of nieces and nephews.
