She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeffie Ware and Ilva Ware; her husband Leo McCarty; her grandchildren, Ashley McCarty and Jesse McCarty; and her siblings, Lois Maddox, Cortez Ware, Mary Ware, Sarah Anderson and Joe Ware.
She is survived by: her children, Jenifer McCarty Runnels (Michael) and Gilton McCarty (Melissa); her grandchildren, Gilton McCarty Jr. (Lashea) and Raymond Hunter McCarty (Morgan); and her stepgrandson Phillip Michael Runnels. She is also survived by Four Great-grandchildren.
