She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester McGee and Ethel Clemons McGee; her husbands, Calvin Shempert, Sr. and Kenny Jackson, Sr.; her children, Danny Joe Shempert, Cecil Shempert, Calvin Shempert, Jr. and Wanda Ellis; her siblings, Gracie Lemonds, Katherine Nelms and Doc Wayne McGee; her son-in-law Joe Ellis; her granddaughter Macheala Shempert; and her great grandchild Nathan Laster.
She is survived by: her children, Clayton Shempert (Elizabeth) of Woodland, Chester Shempert (Marylin) of Spokane, WA, Janice Langford (Larry) of Houlka and Vanessa Bivins of Vardaman; her stepchildren, Kenny Jackson, Jr. of Mantee and Sandy Helms of Eupora; and her sisters, Marlene Ware of Houston, Sue Parson (Jerome) of Wilson, AR and Patsy Moore of Van Vleet. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
