She was predeceased by : her husband Arnold Helveston; her daughter Earline Helveston; her parents, Henry Wells and Etta Wells; and her siblings, Esther Holmes, Jerry Lowe and Sonny Wells.

She is survived by : her children, Tina McCraw, Evelyn Marie Moore, Linda Newcomer (Robert), Eddie A. Helveston, Jimmy P. Helveston, Benny Blansett and Charles Ray Walters (Chassity); and her brothers, James Wells (Rebecca) and Billy Wells (Glenda Lowery). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
