He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilburn D. and Daisy Didlake Sandifer; his brothers, Bill Sandifer and Julian Sandifer; and also Wilma Sandifer Campbell.

He is survived by : his wife Marion Douglas Sandifer; his children, Bobette Thompson (Tommy) of Brentwood, TN, David Sandifer (Leslie) of Collierville, TN and Rob Sandifer; his grandsons, Blair Thompson and Ethan Sandifer (Deidre); his sister Faye De Vassie (Terry); and his siblings-in-law, Amylou Douglas Flournoy (Bryan) and Bud Douglas (Glenn).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the William T and Berteal Douglas Scholarship at Mississippi College, Clinton, MS.
