With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy L. Bess (Marks, Mississippi), who passed away on March 15, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Daniel Bert Bess; her parents, William Jenkins and Mattie Jenkins; her daughters, Sammie McKee and Frances Mills; and her siblings, Susie McCarty, James Edward, John Lee Roy and Harold Wayne Jenkins.

She is survived by : her son Vernon Howell (Betty) of Enid, MS. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
