She is survived by: her children, Charles Raymond Fortson, Jr., Patricia Marie Sweet, Timothy Jason Fortson and Virginia Estelle Bain; and her sister Carolyn Holmes. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
