He was predeceased by : his parents, William L. Montgomery, Sr. and Josephine G. Montgomery; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Montgomery, James Howard and Jack Bennett.
He is survived by : his wife Bettye Mullen Montgomery; his sons, Billy Montgomery (Marcie) and Wally Montgomery (Ann) of McCarley; his grandchildren, Kala Johnson (Brock) of Mantee, Katty Lee Montgomery of Greenwood, Walt Montgomery (Paige) of Waynesboro and Cord Montgomery of McCarley; his great grandchildren, Emma Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Freddie Montgomery and Mary Taylor Montgomery; his brother Charles J. Montgomery, Sr. of Greenwood; and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Howard of McCarley and Shirley Bennett of McCarley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
