He was predeceased by: his wife Pearl Wells; and his siblings, Vernon "Catfish" Wells, John T. Wells, James C. Wells, Bobby G. Wells, Billy J. Wells, Doris Jean Boyd and Shirley Wells Pugh.
He is survived by: his son Nathan Wells of Summit; his daughter-in-law Tammy Wells of Summit; his grandchildren, Brooke Wells, Taylor Wells and Jonathan Wells; his sisters, Elois Wells, Peggie Wells Ratcliff, Willene Wells Thompson of Smithdale, Donnis Temple and Larry Temple of Auburn; his siblings-in-law, Bobbie Wells of Smithdale, Peggy Parsons of Summit, Morese of Smithdale, Bowlin of Smithdale and Willard Seale of McComb; and his close friends, Willie Daniels and Diane Daniels. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Heights Baptist Church building fund.
