He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Hamilton Sterling; and his brothers, Charles Sterling, Wendell Sterling and Glenn Sterling. He is survived by: his sons, Craig Sterling (Heather) of Tylertown and Chris Sterling of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Hannah Garza, Michael Thomason, Braxton, Castyn and Kayla Sterling; his great grandchild Myla Short; his siblings, Paul Sterling of McComb, Frances Walker (Eugene) of Madison, AL, Barbara Evans (Philip) of Magnolia, Patricia Seale (Jack) of Summit, Pauline Behlar (Jimmy) of Long Beach and Cheryl Foster (Jerry) of Denham Springs, LA; and his uncle William Sterling of Magnolia.
