It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Hilton Goodson of Meadville, Mississippi, who passed away on September 20, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Darsie Lee Hilton and Jessie Lee Boyte Hilton; her sister June Swinney; and her son-in-law Lynn Wactor. She is survived by : her husband Walter Philip Goodson; her children, Debra Lane Wactor, Denver Philip Goodson (Hattie) and Mary Beth Goodson; her sisters, Carol Cothern and Barbara Graves; and her grandchildren, Ashley Yelverton (Lee), Melissa Morris (Seth), Hunter Hornbeak (Erin), Stacy Coker (Lewis) and Amy Peterson (Timmy). She is also survived by six great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4915 New Hope Road, Meadville, MS 39653.
