He is survived by : his wife Shirley Mc Coy Johnson; his children, Charles Johnson (Sabrina) of Meridian, Sheryl Dixon (Renaldo) of Villarica, GA, Gloria Christina Robinson of Killeen, TX, Janice Spruill (Nigiel) of Villarica, GA, Angela Bell of Meridian, Nikki Bell of Richmond, CA and Amelia Portis (Michael) of Meridian; and his sister Ora Lee Carter of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He transitioned this life on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Rush Foundation Hospital ER.
