With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Bell Boyd of Monticello, Mississippi, born in Lawrence, Mississippi, who passed away on February 4, 2022 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johny "Bud" Dunaway and Willie Bell Lambert Dunaway; her former spouse Tommie Jackson Boyd; her husband Tommy Jackson Boyd; her children, Gerald Boyd and Doris Carney; her grandson Tony Watson; her daughter-in-law Diane Boyd; and her siblings, J. Y. Dunaway, Grady Dunaway and J. D. Dunaway.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Boyd (Marilyn), Willie Boyd (Karen), W. C. Boyd, Lucille Davis (Alan), Peggy Mains (Timothy) and Pat Matthews (Charlie); her children-in-law, Sandra Boyd and Joey Carney; and her brother Richmond Dunaway. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren and 16 Great Great-Grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
